ipc 138 holiday trimmings

Hi!

Here's my second card for the current Inky Paws Challenge sketch! You have until Friday night to link a card up to the challenge for a chance to win a $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs online store!

I went with a lot of coloring but a pretty simple card. I used the really pretty Christmas Trimmings stamp set and colored and fussy cut all of the images. I glued them down over a die cut brick wall background and a strip of wood grain cardstock. I added a sentiment to the card base and some baker's twine to the wood grain strip. I added some Sink of Stella shimmer and Glossy accents to all of the ornaments and christmas lights so it has some fun sparkle 💓

I hope you have a chance to play along with this sketch!

inky paws 138 pretty pink ornaments

 hi!

There's a new Sketch Inky Paws Challenge starting this morning! Link a card up to the challenge in the next two weeks for a chance to win a $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs online store  :)

I used the Beautiful Baubles stamp set and the coordinating dies for this card. I stamped the ornaments in Memento ink with my MISTI and then colored them with Copic Markers. Then I put them back in the MISTI and stamped them again with Versamark so I could emboss them with gold embossing powder. I die cut a ton of pine boughs from the Pines and Holly die set to make my "tree" background. I glued them all down and then went over all of the branches with a Wink of Stella shimmer pen to make the tree a little sparkly. I added a strip of pink cardstock with glued on bricks for a little texture. I stamped my sentiment from the Poinsettia Blooms stamp set on an aqua cardstock and embossed it with gold embossing powder. I fussy cut it out and added it to my card with some gold thread smooshed up underneath it. I finished everything off by adding the ornaments to the card with some gold thread.

This was a fun sketch, I hope you get a chance to play along!
