inky paws challenge 125 happy butterflies

Hi!

I was so happy I got the new Monarchs stamp set in time for this Inky Paws Color Challenge!  The colors for this challenge are yellow, orange, green, and teal. I'm not a huge orange and yellow fan but I love how bright and happy these butterflies are! Link a card up to the challenge in the next two weeks for a chance to win a $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs online store ☺

I stamped out a ton of butterflies and colored them all (with different color combinations. it took awhile.) and fussy cut them out. I splattered some teal ink on white woodgrain paper (I'm going through a phase with this, plain cardstock just seems so flat and right now I need the extra dimension of the woodgrain?) I added a pretty teal die cut bracket and then stitched a strip of green cardstock I had stamped with the sentiment and die cut with the Land Borders die set on top. I bent the wings up from the bodies on all of the butterflies and then glued down just the bodies so the wings kind of float off of the card. My daughter wanted my leftover butterflies that didn't make it on this card so I gave them to her, then my other daughter wanted some and asked if she could take them off my card. "ummmm, no!" ☺
