Inky Paws Challenge 89 part two

hello!

I have another card for the sketch challenge for Inky Paws Challenge 89 today! There are only a few entries for this challenge so far so your odds to win the $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs online store are pretty good! Go make a card and link it up to the challenge :)

I stamped my wreath from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp set 3 times on kraft paper and colored them with colored pencils and I used some gamsol for blending. I fussy cut out the wreaths, one with the inside still intact, one with the wreath cut completely out, inside and out, and another with just the big flowers cut out. I stamped the sentiment inside the wreath and embossed it with white embossing powder and then used foam tape to assemble all of the layers of the wreath. I added some Nuvo Crystal drops around the wreath and in the flower centers. I die cut a tag out of wood veneer paper using the frames and flag die set, I used the stitched rectangle and some creative die cutting to make my vellum rectangle (I made it a little smaller than the die is so it would fit on my card the way i wanted it to!)

I caught whatever crud my daughter has (not surprising since she sneezes in my face from just a few inches away!) so I feel like death this weekend. fevers, stuffy nose, body aches, ick.

hope you have a lovely week!

Hi!

I love the textures on this one! I made the argyle strip by masking off a row of the diamonds on the Argyle Stencil set and inking the diamonds with some Distress Oxide and then adding the dotted lines with some texture paste. The hearts are a Simon Says Stamp die cut. The kitty is stamped on a stitched circle die cut and then fussy cut out after I colored him with Copics!

I could use a hit of that coffee today, I'm a pretty tidy and organized person, but every once in awhile I get the urge to purge and can find some chaos to go through, I have two towers of drawers in the closet in my studio that got attacked last night. (I watched the first episode of the Marie Kondo show on Netflix last night. I read the book a few years ago, but after watching the show I went searching through my house for some stuff to go through!) Long story short, my studio is now a bit of a disaster and I didn't make it to bed until around 2 AM 😳

Inky Paws Challenge 88

Hello and happy Monday!

I've got another card for Inky Paws Challenge 88 today! There's still the rest of this week left to play along and link up a card to the challenge for a chance to win a $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs Online Store!

shocker, I know. I used the plaid stencil again 😳 (sorry not sorry)

I didn't actually intend for the lighter plaid color to look like that, I used Aged Mahogany ink, but pigment-y ink on a dark cardstock can be weird and I decided to stick with it!

I stamped the bird, colored it with copics, and masked it for some ink blending and then stenciling. Then I trimmed as much of the panel as I could so I'd still be able to show off the yummy plaid underneath! I traced a circle and fussy cut it. (circles are my fussy cutting kryptonite)

Come join us for this challenge! Life is back to normal around here today, Jeff went back to work after a two week Christmas break, Bree's back in school and dance, and I'm getting some work done in the studio today! 💕

Have a lovely day!
