challenge 87 part two

hi!

I have my second card for the Inky Paws silver and/or gold challenge today! I decided to use the gorgeous Poinsettia Blooms stamp set again this week and made a photo card with an old family picture. There's still time to play along! Link up a card here by Friday at midnight for a chance to win a $20 store credit to the Newton's Nook Designs online store.

So i made a fun frame out of the poinsettias (stamped in versamark and embossed with liquid platinum embossing powder) and I watercolored them, then I fussy cut the center of the frame out and slapped a picture in there! I painted some gold and silver shimmers over all of the flowers with the Fine Tec Pearl watercolor paint, (this thing is so shiny!) I stamped and embossed my sentiment on a tag cut out of gold vellum with the Newton's Nook Designs Tags Times Two die set and added it with some Gold Baker's Twine. (I got that baker's twine from the gift wrap section at target a few years ago and my love for it is still super strong, it's a warm coppery gold and i've never seen it anywhere else so I'm glad I still have a full backup spool!)

In other news, we survived our first dance recital! I had so much anxiety about it but it went perfectly and Bree was adorable and wonderful ♥

I finished my Christmas cards last night, they're super cute and I should have them posted sometime this week, now I have a million things to bake and candy to make this week!

Have a lovely day!

  1. This is super fun! I love the idea of framing a fun photo to send as a Holiday card! A great way to make it personalized and special! And the gold and kraft together are fabulous!
