gingerbread house!

Hi! I got a little distracted from my next mermaid card by this adorable gingerbread house and those teensy little Santas!

I stamped all of my images on Neenah solar white cardstock with Black Memento ink so I could color them with my Copics (I did a little masking to stack the Santas) and then fussy cut them out. I made my background sky with Distress Inks and some water splotches and then used double sided tape and glitter for my snow. I used a circle die for my card front and used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment around the curve of the circle. I assembled everything with foam adhesive and then went to town embellishing my candy! Lots and lots of wink of stella shimmer, glossy accents, distress stickles on the gumdrops, and Crystal Nuvo drops make it so fun and give it an awesome amount of texture in person! (also, I don't know what was going on with my brown marker I used for the gingerbread house! I've never had that kind of trouble getting an even coverage with my Copics before!) I finished the card off with some super sparkly sequins from Neat & Tangled. (partially to cover up an ink smudge that transferred from my desk when I was putting everything together!)

I bought a new Christmas tree this year and it's going to be delivered tomorrow! (then we'll start the countdown to see how long I can hold out before I put it up and decorate it, I doubt I can make it the full week!) Our last tree was originally a pre-lit tree but the lights gave up the fight years ago so I've just been putting lights on every year and I am so freaking excited that I won't have to wrestle with the lights and the tree branches this year! I always looked like I had lost a battle with a few cats from all of the scratches on my arms 😏

Bree's been full of some fun one-liners this last week. She wanted to wear a skirt the other day so we dug out some tights because it was cold and I helped her put them on and she gasped "ooh mama! It's pants-socks! I love it!!!" This morning she picked up one of my bras and said "Mama! Check it out! it's pretty boobs!" Today I called her a little girl and she said "no mama, I'm not a little girl. I'm a huge girl!"

Emma is walking around on her own like a champ and dancing to a Santa decoration we bought at Target last week, she's got some moves!

Rainbow Order Holiday Happiness ♥

Hi there! I have another Mermaid Christmas card today. I just love all of the colors on this one!

I'm excited to enter this card in this month's Little Tangles challenge!

I stamped all of the images on Neenah with black Memento ink and colored them with Copic markers before I fussy cut them out. I added some fun wink of stella shimmer to the fish and the mermaid's tail and then I had a bit of a conundrum. I really wanted the mermaid to be coming out of the water but I really didn't want to cover up her tail so I used some clear acetate with alcohol inks for the water and I love how it turned out! I stenciled some clouds for the background, added a sentiment, and then glued everything down. I hid my adhesive on the water under her hair and under the baker's twine.

We are officially not decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving here, but the girls and I seem to keep buying Christmas stuff everytime we go to Target (ahem. every day...) and then it seems like a shame to bring it home only to shove it in the garage, so we have a bunch of fun Christmas singing decorations around the house mixed in with all of our autumn pumpkin decorations. I think I'm also ready to break down and get our Christmas books out of the garage, we have so many good ones and I could really use a distraction from The Nightmare Before Christmas book that Bree wants me to read every night :)

I'm still on my Christmas mermaid kick so I should have my Lawn Fawn Merry Mermaids ready sometime in the next few days! Have a great day!
