Mermaid to live happily ever after ♥

Hi!

I have a card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge today and I kind of love it and couldn't stop photographing it from different angles so there are a bunch of pictures in this post ☺
The challenge was to make a card for an outstanding occasion (wedding, baby, graduation...) and I decided to go with a wedding card because I had the idea to use the little veil and top hat from the Bicycle Built For You stamp set on the little Mermaid couple from Mermaid For You and I've been itching to make an underwater box card with little fishies swimming all over so I went for it!

So here's the front view:

I had to make a little Dory, Nemo, and Crush!

Here's the other side:

A slightly more aerial view:

And here it is folded up flat to fit in an A2 envelope!

So I started off by prepping my box pieces. I die cut the two pieces of the box out of a teal cardstock and stamped my sentiment in Versamark on the inside front flap and embossed it with white embossing powder. Next I did some ink blending on the outside body of the box and the inside flaps with Distress Inks and then sprinkled it with some water droplets and blotted them with a paper towel to make my bubbles. I stamped my seaweed on the front and back body of the box and the back flap that would be the background for my little scene. Next I assembled my box with some Scor-tape and put that aside for a little bit. I stamped some more pieces of seaweed on another piece of ink blended teal cardstock and fussy cut them out. I stamped all of my other images on Neenah cardstock with Memento ink.  (with a little bit of masking to stamp the veil, top hat, and bow tie - I made the bow tie for the merman out of a bubble and a heart stamp from Mermaid for you!) I colored everything with Copics and fussy cut it all out. Then all that was left was to assemble my scene and glue everything down. I glued the tiny school of fish on a piece of acetate so they're "swimming" in thin air, and I have the happy couple floating in midair with some more acetate, everything else is glued directly on the card. ♥♥♥
