I've been MIA the past few days for a few reasons. One: I've been redoing my stamp storage categorization and I also finally ordered more stamp storage envelope sleeve things so my label maker and I have been spending lots of quality time together. Two: it's been a rough week with Em, she sleeps in a pack n play in our room but we're smack dab in the middle of a sleep regression and she's waking up a ton and isn't calming herself down well to go back to sleep, to make it even more fun, Jeff's allergies are going crazy this week so his snoring is insane which isn't helping Em sleep. By the end of the day I feel a bit like a zombie and just want to go sit in a corner somewhere with a big glass of wine. Three: I felt like I should use more of my Easter stamps this week but I'm kind of over Easter cards, so this is probably my last Easter card this year and I'll jump back to regular cards tomorrow. Four: I'm in the middle of another attempt to quit drinking Diet Coke (the love of my life) and the lack of all of that lovely caffeine in my bloodstream makes me sad ☺
So anyways, here's today's card. It's super simple but I can never have enough of white colored pencil on Kraft cardstock.
I started off by die cutting my card with the Scalloped A2 Vertical die out of Kraft Cardstock. Then I masked off the edges outside of the stitched lines to stamp my bunnies. I colored my bunnies in with a white colored pencil and then stamped them again because the pencil is so opaque that it covers up the stamped lines a bit (the second stamp isn't as crisp as I'd like, I think next time I'll try the second stamping in Versafine or Stazon and see if that looks a little better) Next I masked off the bunnies and stamped a few rows of the grass border. I stamped the sentiment in black and then finished off the card with some Nuvo Crystal white drops for the bunny tails.
