I dug out one of my galaxy backgrounds for this card and I kind of love how it turned out!
I made my background with Distress Inks on Watercolor paper, here's the video I made last year showing how:
I die cut my frame out of Smokey Shadow cardstock and then stamped the woodgrain background on it with Versamark ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I stamped my sentiment on a piece of clear cardstock with white Staz-on ink. I adhered the clear piece to the frame with foam adhesive and then adhered that down to the galaxy piece. I added some tiny silver stars around the sentiment and then stuck everything on a white card base to finish it off!
This week has not been a win in the parenting column. (and it's only Wednesday morning!?) The girls have been driving me crazy, we got stuck in traffic yesterday and Emma legit screamed for about an hour, she sounded like a very shrill frog by the time we got home and all three of us sat in my bed and cried. Thankfully Jeff will be home in the evenings the rest of the week because his Thursday class got canceled so hopefully that will help keep me sane for a few more days ☺
Today the girls and I are going to the zoo because the weather is supposed to be awesome, highs in the mid sixties, and we need to soak it up because after that the weather is either rainy or down in the 40s for the rest of the 15 day forecast. Sigh.
I'll be back tomorrow with my card for this week's Make it Monday Challenge! Have a great day ♥
