I've had this stamp set for almost 7 years now and it's still one of my favorite floral stamps!
This card is completely different from my original vision, but I kept tinkering with it until I liked it, but that's why the sentiment is covering up one of the flowers that didn't get a bright white layer on top! I started out by stamping the flower on Kraft cardstock in brown ink and laying down a layer of green Copic marker as the base for my leaves and stems. I added all of the shading with watercolor pencils, smoothing bits out with a waterpen. I couldn't get my white on the flowers bright enough to make me happy so I ended up stamping them on white cardstock, shading them with Copics and a layer of Wink of Stella shimmer and fussy cutting them out to glue over the kraft flowers. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on vellum and heat embossed it with white embossing powder before cutting it out with the matching die cut. I trimmed down my kraft piece, glued the sentiment die cut down, added some baker's twine, and then added everything to a white card base with foam adhesive! ta-daa!
So Em's super healthy and perfect but she did not have a fun day after her shots. #angrybaby #sleepymama
have a great weekend!
we're supposed to get somewhere around 5-8 inches of snow here this weekend which means the city will completely shut down ;)
