I've got a super simple card to finish off the week!
I started out by die cutting a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock with the Scalloped Rectangle Lawn Fawn die and then stamping Newton with his coffee in Memento ink. I colored them with Copic markers and then fussy cut the top of the rectangle off over the image. I stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts black ink and then the coffee beans in Lawn Fawn Doe ink. I cut a Kraft card base and stamped the coffee beans randomly over where I was going to put the stamped partial rectangle in the Doe ink. I adhered my colored piece with foam tape and finished the whole thing off with some baker's twine!
I've got some really fun cards to share next week. I used some of my Christmas/Birthday present gift cards for Simon Says Stamp to order some Your Next Stamp sets (it's a new-to-me company) and I've had so much fun with them the past few nights, I was just going to start out with one card from each set but I started with the little mermaid set and I'm on my fourth card with just that one set, I haven't even started on my other 3 sets!
This is the last weekend aside from Spring Break in March where Jeff won't have class, but of course he has to work all day Saturday to make up his time from the snow days earlier this week. Emma is not at all about being put down this week (to be fair she's never liked it, she's just much quicker to make her displeasure known. loudly.) So my days consist of a never ending cycle of making sure both girls are fed and changing a steady stream of diapers, and holding Emma all. day. long. I love my girls but I am so definitely not a fan of the baby stage. I forgot how horrendous and draining it was and that was before I added a toddler in the mix. yawn.
Anyways, I'll be back next week with some fun mermaid cards! (seriously, they turned out so stinkin' cute!) Have a great weekend!
