Negative Snowflakes!
Hi There! Happy Monday!
Today's card seemed like a great idea until I was painstakingly gluing the tiny little snowflake details down while my eyes tried to focus and then it didn't seem so fun; but it turned out really pretty so it's all good! :)
so many itty bitty pieces...
so shiny and shimmery!
I cut all of the snowflakes out of the Teal cardstock and then glued down the negative pieces on a piece of Neenah cardstock. I used tweezers and multi medium matte to glue down all of the tiny little pieces. It took a while but I think it's worth it. I imagine this is why you would want to own a Xyron machine or something like that :)
I hit the card with some shimmer spray and then die cut the sentiment out of red cardstock and glued that down. I added some baker's twine and then adhered everything on a red card base!
I get to take it easy this week, we're going to North Carolina to stay with some friends of ours for Thanksgiving so all I have to do is make a dessert and some drinks, I'm going for my spiced apple layer cake which is a slight pain to make, but looks and tastes pretty impressive, (and I figure since that's the only thing i'm baking I can go ahead and spend the extra time on it...) and I'm going to make a pitcher or two of Sangria. (the number of pitchers depends on the estimate from the plumber today to fix our bathroom, if it's a ton of money then maybe I won't be buying multiple bottles of wine!)
So other than the dessert and the drinks, I just have to pack us all up and get us there and then sit back and try to corral my children and visit :)
I'll be back with another card on Wednesday! Have a great day!
