Hello!
I have another card today using last month's My Monthly Hero Kit, I wanted to make sure I got some more cards out of it before this month's kit gets here since it shipped today! (I can't wait to play with the new one!)
I didn't do much stamping on this one, just the background and sentiment, but I really love how the leaves look with the watercolor paint :)
I started this one off by stamping the background on some rustic cream cardstock, but then I thought it was a little too dark so I stitched a piece of vellum over it to soften the look. Next I die cut the wreath out of a dark brown cardstock and die cut the leaves out of watercolor paper. I painted the leaves with my watercolors, adding a bit of metallic watercolor paint to them to give them a nice sheen and then I glued the wreath and leaves down on top of the vellum. I stamped my sentiment on the bottom with archival ink and then heat set it so it wouldn't smear (I held the heat gun on it a little too long and warped my paper a bit. boo.) I adhered the vellum stitched piece to the pretty metallic cardstock that came in the kit and then finished off the wreath with some gems and a bow!
I've started re-watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix while I'm trapped on my glider feeding Emma. My parents watched it when I was in high school so I have a general idea of the characters and story lines, but it's fun to watch them all in order and it makes cluster feeding sessions much more bearable! (I even sneak in a couple of episodes in between the Disney Junior shows Bree watches during the day!) I just finished season 1 so I still have a long way to go!
Have a great day!
