Mummy Gate Fold Card

Hi!

I decided to try a gate fold card today (oddly enough I don't think I've ever made one before...) courtesy of the Wild Card class over at Online Card Classes!

I don't love how this card turned out, but I didn't have any more time to work on it and I figured it was better to have something less than amazing rather than nothing at all :)

I started out by stamping the mummy on Neenah card stock with black MFT Hybrid Ink, coloring her with Copic Markers, and fussy cutting her out. I cut and scored my card base and then stamped the front with the stars in versamark ink and embossed them with silver pearl embossing powder. I cut a piece of white cardstock for the inside and stamped the sentiment and adhered that in. Then I die cut the fringe, tree, and fence and assembled the front of the card. I thought the fringe would kind of mimic the mummy wrapping but I'm not super pleased with it. oh well, win some lose some :)

My daughter loves Disney Junior shows but we don't have cable so we bought some on itunes for our apple tv and  watch the same ones over and over again. When we were on vacation the house had the Disney Junior channel and Bree fell in love with the Little Einsteins so I had to buy a couple of the seasons for her when we got home. (we watch way too much tv since I'm nursing Emma all the time) Bree sings and dances along with it ( I can't wait to sign her up for ballet lessons!) and she pats her lap when we're in the car to make the rocket ship blast off. It's super cute. But now I walk around singing the little ditties they make up to the classical music all. day. long. because they're always stuck in my head.  Not super cute. :)

Anyways, if you're in the path of the hurricane please stay safe and have a great weekend!
