Super Duper

Hello! I'm back with another galaxy background card today!

I started out by making my background:

After my background was done, I stamped the little hero on Neenah cardstock, colored her with Copic Markers and fussy cut her out. I die cut the cityscape out of black cardstock (a piece that was 4 1/4" wide) and backed it with some yellow cardstock for the lights of the city. I stamped my sentiment in versamark on the black cardstock and embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder. I die cut the cityscape again out of my background and the adhered the skyline and the city together on a white card base. I wrapped it up with some baker's twine and adhered the little hero to the sky to finish it off!

My dad leaves to go home to New Orleans today which stinks. I've really enjoyed having him here and watching him spend time with Bree and Emma, he sees them less than my other parents so it was lovely to have him here for about two weeks and have him really be able to bond with them a bit. Now we won't see him again until Christmas. My Mom gets to stay with us for another two weeks though so that's good and she's going to sleep on the couch (which is actually more comfortable than the air mattress she and my dad have to sleep on here in the studio) so I'll get to put my studio back in order and have some crafty time again! I am definitely itching to ink up all of my new Lawn Fawn stamps and play with some of my new pop up and slider dies and I can't wait to try out my new chibi lights!

Wish me all the luck today, I have a double pediatrician appointment for the girls. Emma's two week check up and Bree's 3 year check up are this afternoon back to back. I hate going in for Bree's wellness checkups, I always feel like the ton of paperwork they want me to fill out about her development is designed to make me feel like a failure as a parent :)
