" I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address."
but this is the next best thing :)
I started out this card by drawing light pencil guidelines on a piece of Neenah Cardstock, cut to 4 1/8" x 5 1/4". Next I stamped the pencils along the guidelines in My Favorite Things black hybrid ink and then colored them with Copic Markers. Next I made the mistake of leaving it alone on my desk for a few minutes while I put laundry away and Bree was inspired by all of the pencils and scribbled all over it with pencil and I had to attack it with an eraser :)
I adhered it to a black piece of cardstock and then put that on a white card base and wrapped some baker's twine around it. I die cut the dimensional banner from black cardstock and stamped and embossed the sentiment in versamark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder. I trimmed of the right side of the banner and then finished the card off by adding the banner with some foam tape.
I'm not a big fan of romantic comedies but You've Got Mail will always be one of my all time favorite movies. Most of our movie collection is Disney, Musicals, or Nerdy but I do have a few girly favorites tucked in here and there: You've Got Mail, P.S. I Love You, It's Complicated, Pride and Prejudice, Australia, and Sabrina are some of my favorites when I want a chick flick. As I write this I realize that it's been a few years since I've watched You've Got Mail so that one is definitely coming with me on vacation (I'll save some of the others for the next few sleepless nights with Emma!)
Have a great day!
