I buy a ton of stamps with cute little animals and then when I get them I usually have no idea what to do with them, so I've had these stamps for about a year and never inked them up; having to come up with cards for the blog without buying new stamps this summer was great for making me finally use some of these neglected stamp sets :)
I stamped (with a little bit of masking for the mouse) all of the animals and the bike in My Favorite Things black hybrid ink on Neenah cardstock and colored them with my Copic Markers. I added some Wink of Stella shimmer to the bike and then cut a mask for the tires and the grass. I added the grass with my ink blending tool and some distress ink and then removed the masks. I die cut the stamped cardstock with the scalloped rectangle and then stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts black ink. I adhered it to a blue card base and finished it off with some baker's twine and sequins!
Today is baking day! I'm making brownies and cookies to snack on while we're on vacation; partially because snacks are amazing and partially because we already have the brownie mixes at home and Jeff and I are going to try to make healthier eating choices after we get home so I want them out of the house! I've been avoiding candy for almost a week now (which is incredibly hard with frequent trips to Target where I have to see all of the Halloween candy!) and I keep thinking about giving up Diet Coke but then Emma gives me a sleepless night or two and I decide that's a dumb idea. :) I lost a ton of weight this year while I was pregnant and now with breastfeeding I'm still losing a bunch and I'd really like to not gain it all back because of a crummy diet. (I can't even remember when my weight was this low, maybe college? Somewhere around 2006?) Losing weight this easily is super exciting, but now none of my clothes really fit... (I definitely started this paragraph intending to talk about my favorite brownie mix ever, which is Betty Crocker Delights Supreme Cookie Brownie Bars Mix, I didn't really intend to get in to a monologue about my weight...)
so anyways... have a great day!
