Hello!
Today I have a fun back to school card with all sorts of fun techniques :)
I started out with a piece of neenah cardstock, cut to 4 x 5 1/4" and I stamped the little girl and the stack of books in My Favorite Things black hybrid ink. I went ahead and colored them with Copic Markers (I like to do my coloring before inking up any backgrounds or doing any masking around the images so if I bleed outside of the lines I can clean it up with the colorless blender marker without messing anything else up...) Next I stamped and cut out a mask for the girl and the books and then masked off the upper part of the card with a wide strip of masking paper. I stamped the A+s in versamark in two rows across the bottom of the card and embossed them with clear embossing powder. Next I used my ink blending tool and Black Soot Distress Ink to ink up the bottom part of the card, with the embossed A+s acting as a resist. I peeled off all of the masking and then got to work on the rest of the background. I stamped the sentiment above the books in Hero Arts black ink and then stamped all of the other images in the black hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers. I adhered the piece to a piece of yellow cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and then adhered that to a white card base. Aaaaaand finished it off with some more baker's twine!
Less than 10 days to go until my due date! Hopefully I'll have a baby announcement for you super soon! Have a great weekend!
