Tiki Masks!

Hello and happy Thursday!
Sing it with me: In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room! In the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room, all the birds sing words and the flowers croon in the tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki room!
The Tiki Room is one of  my favorite things in Adventureland and I know all of the words, even the opening monologue (but then I know all the words to almost all Disney attractions and they're almost all my favorites so I guess that doesn't make the Tiki Room very special...)

The obligatory angled shot to show off the shimmer on the mask details!
aaaaaand now I really want a Dole whip.

(this must all seem kind of weird if you're not a Disney person...)
I started off by stamping my masks and sentiment on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of white Neenah cardstock. I colored my masks with my Copic markers and I kind of loved that yellow to orange fade on the masks so I decided to make my card mimic that. I used a Lemon Drop 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of cardstock and blended my Distress Inks on it to make it pretty!
Bree helped!
Then i trimmed down the right side of my tiki mask panel and fussy cut around the masks on the left side. I wrapped some twine around the right side and then adhered it to the inked background piece. I adhered that to a white card base and finished the whole thing off with some Wink of Stella shimmer on the mask details!

A fun little bit of serendipity: I haven't used this set since I got it last fall, I had it out last October to use it and I lost one of the palm tree stamps, so annoying. I had stamped it and wanted to mask it off (*important) and then I couldn't find the stamp anywhere. Bree didn't spend time in the studio back then and I tore the room apart looking for the stamp but never found it. I had assumed it ended up in the trash somehow. I had the stamp set and the masking paper out on my desk this week to make this card and I went to shift the piles of stuff around so I would have room for my craft mat for ink blending and felt a stamp stuck to the masking paper envelope and it was the missing palm tree! I'm not entirely sure how it ended up stuck to the masking paper sleeve for 9 months, I use that stuff all the time, but yay! Now I'm only missing one little stamp (a sentiment from a Hero Arts monster stamp set. sadness.) but that one's been missing for a few years so I'm not holding out much hope for that one. (I have some OCD issues, losing stuff really bothers me, I'm pretty tidy so not much gets lost thankfully... but seriously you should see me tear the house apart when Bree has a missing puzzle piece...)

Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
