I've got a yummy looking card to share today :)
aaaaaand an angled shot of the glossy accents :)
I watercolored my background first and then set that aside while I worked on the popsicles. I die cut them, stamped them, and the added a nice thick layer of glossy accents. I cut the little popsicle sticks out of a wood veneer paper and then stuck them together and on the watercolor background after they were dry. I stamped the sentiment directly on the background and smeared it like crazy so I die cut a dimensional banner, stamped the sentiment again and added that to the card. I finished off the card with some clear sequins. (I ordered a bunch of sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and I've been using them like candy!)
My cousin is taking my maternity pictures at the end of the month and I found the perfect dress! It's way out of my color comfort zone, it's lace that fades from a light peach to a vibrant orange at the bottom (and the bottom hits above my knee, also way out of my comfort zone) but I think the color will be fun and I'm trying to make myself pick out clothes in more colors than just neutrals and teals. But now I have to decide what I want to do with my hair, my color is a little dull and tired, I haven't had any color since the day after Christmas in 2013 (my birthday) and that was a purple-y disaster (I wanted a pretty dark brown with reddish auburn highlights and i got plum purple. not cute.) and I was thinking about going blonder, but I definitely can't afford to keep up with blond and my hair grows really quickly, so now I'm considering sticking with a brown, maybe going a little darker and adding some caramel-y highlights. But I'm also really pale and I don't want to look washed out and ill in all of the pictures I'll be in soon with the maternity pictures, delivery pictures, newborn pictures, and just random taking care of a new baby pictures.... I'm horrible at making hair decisions which is why it's been so long since I got any color and I've only had one haircut in the last 3 years. Anyways, it helps to write it out here since when I start talking to my husband about it he doesn't understand half of the words I use. My cousin and I were talking about dress colors via text the other day and he was reading them to me and typing them while I was driving and he said he thought coral was a shade of blue. bless his heart.
