Well I might not be able to keep the actual plants alive, but at least I can color them pretty on paper!
I started out with a white cardstock panel and stamped two of the succulents and their pots/cups on that. Then I trimmed it down and fussy cut around the tops of the plants and stamped and fussy cut the third plant out. I colored the plants and pots with my Copics. (and I'm a little bit thrilled with how they turned out!) I masked off the two pots and the top and bottom quarter inch of my white panel to stamp the woodgrain background and then added the sentiment in black ink and adhered the third plant to the panel. I used my ink blending tool to add some gradient shading to a cement gray cardstock panel in Lawn Fawn Manatee ink and Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and then I adhered it to a white card base. I finished everything off by adding the white panel to the card front with foam adhesive!
I'm pretty sure Bree broke my nose yesterday so that's been super fun. She's going through an extra clingy phase right now (maybe because of the pregnancy or maybe just because of her age...?) where she runs at me full force sobbing "I'm sorry Mama" whenever she gets corrected for anything. Her head hits my nose alot but yesterday I felt something pop and it aches like a bad tooth now. Chewing and walking are no joke either. (And it's insanely hard to keep her from hitting my nose accidentally all the time) I had my regular appointment with my midwife yesterday and she thinks it's probably broken too so now I'm just waiting for the bruising. boo.
