Hello and happy 4th of July!
I've got a pretty simple shaker card to share today :)
There wasn't much stamping on this card, but it was a bit like putting a puzzle together. I cut strips of the white and red cardstock into half inch strips and then die cut the star from them and then die cut the star frame out of the navy cardstock. I adhered everything down on to a panel of clear cardstock so the star is "inlaid" in the stripes so everything's nice and one layer, which took awhile. I stamped my two flourishes and the sentiment and then added foam adhesive to the back of the clear panel, making sure to cover the entire border of the star with the foam to make a well for the sequins. I used some of my new Pretty Pink Posh sequins, the patriotic mix, in the well and then adhered the whole thing to a teal card base. And now I either have to make a special envelope for it or just hand it to someone in person without an envelope since the star corners stick out so far :)
Nothing too exciting is going on here for the Fourth. I'm not sure I really feel like keeping Bree up super late to watch fireworks, if we watch them we'd go to Yorktown which is about an hour away, and the fireworks start at 9:15 so we wouldn't get home until around 11 or later with traffic, so we might just stay at home and grill something if the rain holds off. I might go through the baby clothes we saved from Bree and wash and put away the newborn and 0-3 month size clothes for Emma! (yay tiny baby clothes!) Have a great day!
