This card makes me smile :) I turned the little Lawn Fawn Otter stamp into a little wedding couple and then did a little selective inking on the sentiment to turn a birthday sentiment into a wedding sentiment. so. stinkin'. sweet.!
Here's a close up of the happy couple!
I started off by stamping the otters on Neenah cardstock and coloring them with Copics and fussy cutting them out. I added (and by I, I mean I asked my husband to do it, he's better at drawing...) the little bow tie to the groom and then the tulle and pearls and eyelashes to the bride. I added a bit of glossy accents to their noses because why the heck not? I die cut the waves cover plate a total of 3 times out of the teal cardstock, once with the cardstock plain, and then twice with it all inked up. I adhered the frame of the un-inked piece to a kraft card base and went ahead and stamped my sentiments with black ink. Then I adhered all but the top wavy piece down from one of the die cut inked pieces. I used the last die cut piece to pop some of the wave panels up with foam adhesive for some dimension. I covered up my sentiment section and then splattered some white Mister Huey spray on the "water" and then finished everything up by adhering the otters!
I had another appointment with my midwife yesterday, it was quick and normal as usual, I always measure exactly on schedule. Only 39 more days until my due date! I got to feel a little smug at the appointment when the midwife noticed that I was wearing regular, non-maternity jeans. I've actually lost weight this pregnancy from my pre-pregnancy weight so I've been able to make do with my regular jeans and some longer maternity shirts which I'm really excited about. Since this is my last pregnancy I didn't really want to spend a bunch on maternity clothes and my jeans from last pregnancy were too big, so I was pretty happy to get through this one with only having to buy about 5 shirts :)
I have one more two week break before my next appointments and then my appointments will be every week after that one until Emma comes!
