hello! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I have a pretty quick (mostly) one layer card today because my weekend was kind of jam packed with only a couple of slivers of crafty time. so nothing too complicated today :)
I started out with a piece of watercolor paper cut to 4" x 5 1/4". I smooshed my vintage jadeite ink on my craft mat and then added some water. I picked up the watery ink with a piece of acetate and smeared it around on my cardstock until I liked it and then I zapped it with my heat gun to dry it. I stamped the earth and sentiment in blueberry ink and the stand for the glove in silver lining ink from WPlus9 (that is my current favorite shade of medium gray ink, just fyi). I mounted the panel on a navy cardbase and finished the card off with some ribbon. the end. :)
We had a great lunch at the Brazilian place on Friday for Jeff's department Christmas party. We will definitely be going back to that restaurant, especially for the parmesan beef. (it was amazing) Then I was up all night decorating the tree, and Saturday was spent pushing all of the buttons on the ornaments for Bree (we have mostly all Hallmark ornaments on our tree and most of them make noise or have movement and Bree adores them.) Saturday night we didn't make it to the fireworks, traffic and parking was too crazy so we turned around and got some yummy smelling Christmas candles from Bath & Body Works during their candle sale on Saturday. Sunday Jeff put the icicle lights up on our house and then we went to Williamsburg for the Grand Illumination. Bree really liked the fireworks, but she was more interested in playing in the gravel on the ground. sigh. We totally stopped in the grocery store parking lot on the way home to watch the live stream broadcast of the Disney World Christmas Parade and then we watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks once we made it home :)
(not a bad picture considering i took it with my phone while holding a very bouncy toddler!)
Thanks for stopping by! Have a very merry Monday!
