Minty Christmas!

Hello! Today's card using some stamps from the Greeting Farm and Simon Says Stamp and one of my favorite color combinations evah! ♥

and a close-up of the sweet little couple ♥

This one was really fun for me, it was the first time I had inked up my Greeting Farm stamps, they're so cute! I don't know why it took me so long :)

To start this card off I stamped the woodgrain background on kraft cardstock and then die cut it with the pierced circle die. I die cut a bigger circle out of a spearmint cardstock panel cut to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8". Next I stamped the snowflakes on the spearmint panel in versamark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder. I stamped the people in black my favorite things hybrid ink on Neenah cardstock and colored them with my Copics and then fussy cut them out. I stamped and embossed the circle sentiment and the hearts on my die cut circle and then adhered the circle and the spearmint panel on to a white card base. I added the couple with foam adhesive and finished the card off with a bit of baker's twine. ta-daa!

I'm kind of thinking this might be the color scheme for my Christmas cards... I just love a pretty minty green. :)
In other news, my tree is up and lit! (not decorated, that's still to come...) Bree was fun when she came out and saw it yesterday. She pointed at the tree and chanted tree and pretty and then she would run to the television and point at the top of that where Rodney Reindeer and his family sit at Christmas and said Dog (which to be fair, they kind of do look like pound puppies...) and then she would repeat the whole process. over. and. over. again. lol
She has also decided that Piglet is a bunny. We have the big storage containers of our ornaments on our table right now and some of them are facing out so she can see them when she sits in her high chair, so she points to them and I say the names: Santa, Snoopy, Pooh, Tinkerbell, and Piglet. But when I say Piglet, she looks at me like I got the answer wrong and slowly says Buddy (which is her word for Bunny) and gives me this exasperated how-many-times-do-I-have-to-tell-you-this-Mom look that makes me giggle :)

anyways, be back tomorrow, Have a fun day!
