Happy Friday! I have a simple, but super cute, Christmas card today :)
My studio is such a mess from working on December Daily that I actually ended up making this card on a Project Life core kit box I held on my lap while I sat on the floor. I hate to clean up all of my DD supplies to make a card when I know I want to work on the DD again tomorrow, putting it all away and then getting it back out wastes so much time, so the floor it is...
Anyways, I started off with a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and stamped the santa hat, then I stamped a mask for the hat and put that on top of the stamped hat, then I stamped and masked the frog, and then repeated the steps with the lily pad. I used my ink blending tool to add a bit of a halo around the frog with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I took the masks off and then stamped the sentiment. I colored the frog with my Copics, adding little spots of colorless blender on his legs and a few on his forehead. I mounted the white panel on a green card base and then started embellishing my frog! I started off with some Wink of Stella shimmer on the frog's skin, then I added white fun flock (which I now realize I forgot to add to the supply list, but I'm too lazy to go back and edit it, so pretend it's listed.) to the band of his santa hat. Next I added a little pom-pom to the end of his hat. I decided he needed googly eyeballs so I glued them over his little stamped shut eyes. I finished off the card with a baker's twine bow. ta-daa!
I have a very fun-filled weekend ahead of me, tonight we're going to an outdoor Christmas Market, Saturday we have a brunch with Santa, Saturday night I have a tacky light tour run, and Sunday we're going to head back to Colonial Williamsburg to take pictures of some of the decorations and go ice skating! (My December Daily is going to be overflowing by the end of the month! yay!)
Anyways, Have a magical weekend and thanks for stopping by!
