Hello and happy November! I have such a fun card to share today; I love love love these little elves!
eek! They're so cute! I've had the idea for this card percolating in my brain for about a week or so & I'm super happy with how it turned out :)
I stamped the elves on Neenah cardstock in My Favorite Things black ink and colored them with Copics. I fussy cut them out and just cut off the present and ornament they were holding. Next I cut the Elf Green Cardstock to 4" x 9 1/4" and then free cut the tree out of that, (This was the part that made me nervous about this card, I can't draw at all and I wasn't sure how this part would turn out) next I cut the scallops into the bottoms of the sections and the jagged-y edges. I inked the tops of each section with Distress Ink and then assembled it on some scratch paper. I added the tinsel ribbon to the tree and then set it aside. I stamped the snowflakes on the Berrylicious cardstock and then adhered the tree to it. I die cut the snow bank out of Neenah cardstock, stamped my sentiment on it, and then adhered it to the Berrylicious panel. I stamped the candy cane, colored it, and cut it out. I tied the baker's twine around the elf's waist and then adhered my elves and my candy cane hook to the base. I finished up the cards with some enamel dot ornaments!
I had a pretty fun weekend. My cousin came over on Friday and we went to our race expo in Virginia Beach and then stayed up way to late talking. We got up crazy early to head back to the beach for our race. We ran the Wicked 10k and it was so much fun! I dressed up as Harley Quinn and Jen was Harry Potter. People had some amazing costumes, if you want to see some of them look up #wicked10k15 on instagram, people are crazy creative. Bree was still not feeling very well so we didn't do anything else for Halloween. After I got home from my race we spent the rest of the day in jammies and watched Nightmare Before Christmas and Room on the Broom. (great book and short little movie - it's on Netflix - go watch it!)
Anyways, have a fantastic Monday, see you tomorrow!
