Starbucks Cup Card!

Hi! I jumped on the Starbucks Cup Card bandwagon and I kind of love how it turned out!

I decided to make a shaker card out of my cup! I started by cutting the cup apart until I had a big flat panel. I die cut the Starbucks logo out of the card using the first big circle die cut I grabbed - I think it was the My Favorite Things donuts die cut. After my panel was all cut and die cut I sat down and colored it all with my Copics. After that was done I cut it down to 4.25x5.5 inches. I stamped my sentiment with white Stazon Ink on clear acetate and added it to my cup panel. - just a note: I used matte multi-medium to stick those together at first and it would. not. dry. Stuck between the waxy cup and the clear plastic there was nowhere for the glue to seep into so it just kept smudging (and yes, that is the technical term) out everywhere so I finally wiped it off with a baby wipe and used my regular adhesive roller. - I die cut the same circle out of a piece of a craft foam and adhered the die cut panel to my cup panel. Once I had that nice well, I dug through my wood veneer and sequins to add the fun shaker element. I believe the bigger darker wood hearts are from Studio Calico and the small hearts are from a Freckled Fawn set. I attached everything to an Ocean Tides card (another note - I really wish I had stamped some sort of background on the card front under the shaker stuff - it looks kind of boring to me - but not boring enough for me to rip it all apart and start over apparently) and then finished it off with a Martha Stewart ribbon.

Have a great day!

  1. Absolutely fabulous. Don't know which urge is more compelling, more card stuff or a Starbucks latte!
