rain rain go away

Hello and happy Monday! I have a rainy little card I made on Saturday for World Card Making Day to share with you today!

I free-handed (which is a big deal for me because I flat out can. not. draw. at all.) the polka dots on the little girl's raincoat and boots and then colored her with copics, spread some Wink of Stella shimmer to her coat and boots, and cut her out. I stamped the sentiment in black ink on the gray cardstock and hit it with a heat gun so the ink would be totally dry. Then I stamped the rain drops and the brush stroke "puddle" in versamark and embossed them with clear embossing powder. I adhered the stamped gray cardstock to a pink piece and then put the whole thing on a white card. I glued down the little girl and finished the whole card off with some moonshine sequins. (i love them!)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got to spend some time making cards on World Card Making Day! We got a lot of rain this weekend here on the East Coast but thankfully we weren't impacted by any of the flooding. (I'm also super thankful that the hurricane didn't turn towards us - partially because we're supposed to go down to the Outer Banks in North Carolina this weekend for a vacation!) I'll be back tomorrow with a card using the Starbucks Cup (I had to jump on the bandwagon and try my hand at it!) Bye!
