Good morning and welcome! Today I have a card to share for this month's Papertrey Ink blog hop!
This is a super clean and simple Christmas card. This month's blog hop inspiration photo was so pretty, full of red and green, shiny ornaments, pretty greenery and red thread.
I started off with a white cardstock panel cut to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and ran it through my die cutting machine with the string frame die to cut the holes for my frame. Then I went ahead and stitched my frame with red crochet thread. I die cut the pinecone branch from white cardstock and stamped it in green and brown ink. After it was stamped I went over it with some copic markers to add a little shading and depth, it makes such a difference! I stamped the sentiment in gray ink and then adhered the pinecone branch inside the frame with foam adhesive. I mounted the white panel on a red card base and finished the card off with a few little rainstones!
This was a very quick card to make but so fun! I got a Caramel Apple Spice from Starbucks, lit my new candle that smells like a Christmas tree, turned on my Seth MacFarlane Christmas album, Holiday For Swing! (it's amazing, go listen to the samples of it on itunes if you don't already own it.) and got crafty. Now I have to tamp down my desire for all things Christmas and take my daughter to a pumpkin patch today :)
Have a great day and have fun blog hopping!
