Hello again

Hello and happy October!

I have a pretty little floral card to share with you this morning. So welcome! I'm so glad you're here :)

I started out this card by running my Fresh Cuts die set through my cuttlebug 4-5 times until I had a nice pile of each flower and leaf ready to stamp. Then i just went to town stamping all of my little flowers (this stamp set and most of the inks are new to me so I'm still looking for new favorite color combinations!). After they were all stamped i spent a few minutes building the flower arrangement on a blank card; once I came up with a layering I liked I snapped a picture with my phone. I die cut the Pierced Fishtail Tag out of white cardstock and then built and adhered my flowers to it using my phone picture as a guide for where i wanted everything. I stamped hello across the bottom of the tag and then finished off the top with some baker's twine.I stamped the Background Basics: Farm & Barn wood plank stamp in Fairy Dust (I love how soft and pretty that gray is!) and adhered the tag to the card base with foam tape and called it done!

here's a close up shot of all of those fun die cuts!

It's been almost 2 1/2 years since I blogged here and about 3 years since I blogged an actual card! When I last blogged I had only recently learned that the baby I was carrying was going to be a girl. That baby girl is now a healthy energetic two year old named Brianna. (but we call her Bree unless she's in trouble!) Now that life has settled down a little bit (ha! Not settled down perhaps, but it has settled to it's new normal) I really wanted to start my blog back up. So I'll be here Monday through Saturday at 8:00 AM. Sometimes I'll have cards (within the next month or so I'm also planning on shooting some card making videos *hopefully*), other times I'll just have stories or pictures of my life, or recipes or Project Life and December Daily (I'm kind of freaking out that I only have two more months to catch up and make the last two years of December Daily before it's time to start this year's!). So anyways, I'll be here, I hope you stop in and visit now and again and if you ever have any questions or if there's anything specific you'd like to see just leave me a comment!
Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting!
