Hi! This card makes me happy and I kind of want a coat like the Bella's...
So I colored this adorable Bella for the coloring challenge (I seriously love every single uptown girl stamp that Stamping Bella makes. LOVE.) After she was all colored I fussy cut her out. I stamped the snowfall background on a white cardstock panel in versamark and embossed it with white embossing powder. Next I stamped the sentiment - the color of the sentiment is a little wonky because I tried it first on scratch paper in red ink and didn't like it so i switched to gray but i didn't clean my stamp enough in between so I accidentally created a new color but I decided to keep it! I wanted the Bella to look like she was in the snow, not just in front of it, so I stamped some little dots on her in versamark and used my embossing pen to draw smaller dots on her and embossed them all in white so she has some snowfall in front of her (I didn't want to just stamp the background over her because I wanted to control where the dots were on her - I didn't want them covering up her face too much or anything weird!) I die cut the little snow slopes out of white cardstock and then covered the little hills with versamark and embossed them to give them a good snowy texture. To finish it all off I glued down the Bella and mounted the whole panel on a red card base!
So today I'm off for a mini vacation! Jeff (my husband) is getting off of work an hour early and then we'll pile in the car with Bree (our daughter) - and the massive amount of luggage she requires for a long weekend away (she's two) - and head down to Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina! We'll be right on the beach and we'll have a heated pool, yay! I've crafted ahead enough that I have all of my blog posts still scheduled to go up while I'm gone (kind of, I have the cards finished, I still have to upload the pictures and actually write the posts and all that nonsense which I can do at the beach after Bree goes to bed!) so definitely still stop in and visit! I'll still be sharing my daily coloring each day on Instagram (why yes, I do pack my copics up and drag them around with me when I travel... that's normal right?) as well as any pictures I manage to take at the beach!
Have a good one!
