Make It Monday

Hi! Happy Monday!
Today's Make it Monday challenge is to add a strip of glitter using scor-tape.

ta-daa!

I looked at today's card and at some of the works in progress scattered around my studio and my color scheme kind of threw me, i usually have to have kraft on everything and usually only use one or two additional colors, but right now my desk is covered with gradient rainbows on white backgrounds, what's up with that? then i looked to my right and my new ribbon wall. *ohhhh* i finally freed my loose ribbon from their vases this week and knotted them all on book rings and hung them from my studio closet door, isn't it pretty!?

anywho, how's everybody's week shaping up? i have a super fabulous week coming my way :)
Tomorrow my mom and our friends are coming over to play in my studio with me.
Wednesday my mom and i are going out for lunch and a pedicure.
Thursday night we leave for Disney.
Friday i have a race expo, a fabulous lunch at Les Cellier @ the Canadian Pavilion in Epcot and then a fabulous evening in the parks.
(if you're a disney person and you've never eaten at Les Cellier in Canada - go immediately. they're filet is fantastical. they do fill up ridiculously fast though so make reservations - and i recommend trying lunch out, it's a little easier to get lunch reservations, they still have the same menu, and the portions are more manageable!)
Saturday is a day at the parks and then early to bed,
Sunday i'm running in the Princess Half Marathon! Which will bring my half marathon count up to 5!
can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by! lemme know what you think and have a great week!

Papertrey Ink color combos

good morning!
sorry for my absence this weekend, i went to Maryland and then i got sick. runny/stuffy nose, sore throat, fever, and coughing sick. no fun. but now i'm back in my studio so at least being sick isn't boring anymore :)

for the fifth day of festivities on Nicole's blog, there's a cool contest going on all about color. To enter you can make a card with any of the design team's favorite color combos. I made my first entry with Lisa Johnson's favorite color combo: pure poppy, spring rain, kraft, & vintage cream. it just so happens that the birthday card i had to make today was for a friend who's favorite colors are red and sky blue, add that to the fact that i can't seam to make cards anymore without throwing some kraft in there, and this was the perfect color combo for me :)

i will hopefully be back later today with more cards using the other designer's color combos.
as always, thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and visit!

Load - day 3

here's my layout for day 3!
today we were supposed to take a song title for the title of our page, i picked born to run by bruce springsteen :)

i'm a bit of a long distance runner (i've competed 4 half marathons) and i'm running tons of races this year. i thought it'd be really neat to actually scrap just the act of running rather than just all my races, so i took my shoes outside and took a picture of them :)
(i promise i actually run in them even if they are really shiny and new looking!)

i love how this pink paislee paper matches my shoes! i used some studio calico mister huey's color mist (in warm calico) to add the grey under my pictures and i mixed some claudine hellmuth studio paint (charcoal black & blank canvas) to paint my chipboard letters :)

Thanks for stopping by everybody!
