mini valentine :)

here's a little card today :)
i like to make little 3x3 cards sometimes to stick in my husband's lunchbox :)
granted - a heart balloon might not be the most masculine image in the world, so i tried to "butch" it up a bit with the lack of color and the grid background :)

like most crafters who have to stay at home during CHA, i've spent most of my free time this weekend glued to my computer, watching for posts of new product on facebook and blogs. i can't wait to get my hands on some of the new releases! love the knew cosmo cricket goodness (of course), their social club, upcycle, and salt air lines are so cute and i'm dying to play with glubers (big glue dots)! Can't wait for the new distress ink colors of coredinations cardstock, love the new hero arts and basic grey team-up, ooh and one more for the road, LOVE the new glimmer mist colors :) any other cha stalkers out there? if so, what's caught your eye so far?

Supplies:
everything from papertrey ink unless otherwise noted
cardstock: kraft & vintage cream
stamps: background basics: geometrics & love songs
ink: hero arts brown chalk ink, american crafts white pigment ink
accents: button twine & ranger's glossy accents

let me know what you think and have a great day!

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop

Hi!
It's that time of the month again!
The challenge for this month was:

With the new year comes a clean slate along with many resolutions. This month's blog hop challenge involves you challenging yourself to use a Papertrey stamp set that has yet to see ink or even one that might be collecting a little dust! Go through your stash and see what little used treasure it might hold. If you are in need of inspiration for your chosen set, feel free to utilize the gallery posted in the side bar of each set's sale page on our website, or go to the Previous Countdown page here on my blog where each set is organized by month of release. 2011 is the year where what's old is new again!

i think i've only used my scattered showers stamp sets once, if that, so i decided to use those for my card today :)

sorry about the lighting in the picture, i'm at a friend's house up in the mountain's scrapbooking for the week (jealous?) :)

play along with the blog hop here!

thanks for stopping by, happy hopping, and let me know what you think!

hiya!

hi!
well i missed the first couple of weeks of my "blog every week resolution" but better late than never right?.....right?
i should have bunches of cards and layouts to show you soon because i'm going a-scrappin' this week! that's right, one whole week in the mountains with nothing to do but make cards, make layouts, teach techniques to my friends, go snow tubing, sit in the hot tub, point and laugh at all the skiers as they fall, sit by the fire, drink some pina coladas...

wow. i might not actually get anything done. lol

anywho, i made this layout for the american crafts design team call last year and never got around to posting it.
sadly it will probably never make it into one of my albums because that darned rosette is just too bulky. grrr.

thanks for stopping by, lemme know what you think, and have an awesome day!
