Day 238 @ 365 Cards & My Christmas Card!

wow, it's been ages since i've posted anything! I have been creating things, i just have about 30 projects in the works and nothing's really done enough to post yet :)

Today's Challenge at 365 cards was to have someone else pick 5 items for a card (i made this card for the design team call and just never submitted it! ...and i can't even find the card i made for the sketch challenge...i'm a holiday mess lol)

I asked my husband (Jeff!) to pick 5 items out of my stash for a card, he's so funny, he thinks that flowersoft is the neatest thing on cards, every time i ask his opinion on a card he looks at it and somehow always finds something on it that he thinks "should be flower-softed" lol

so anyways, his 5 items were flowersoft, ribbon, brads, a sentiment, and cardstock :)

Supplies:
Papertreyink: Kraft Cardstock & Signature Christmas Stamp Set
Flowersoft, Christmas Green & Shamrock Green

And....after tinkering with the design for about a month...

My Christmas cards are done!!!! (all 50 of them) and i gotta say, i LOVE how they turned out!

Supplies:
Papertreyink: Kraft Cardstock, Boards and Beams & Home for the Holidays Stamp Set
Papercut: Red Cardstock
October Afternoon: Patterned Paper

Days 249, 247, & 246

Day 249 @ 365 Cards :)
Today's challenge was to be inspired by the 80s!

i feel like i've come to a scary place in papercrafting, instead of ripping some paper out of a spiral bound notebook for this card, i actually dug through my paper until i found some lined scrapbook paper and then i used my ek success border punch to make the edge and then ripped it up a little...yikes lol

anyways, i love making 80s-ish cards, the patterns are just so fun!!! to me the best parts of the 80s (besides the music and movies) were the colors and the commercials and trapperkeepers!!!
(does anybody else remember the fun ring pop commercials with the little kid asking the girl to wear his ring?!) i put all my cute rubons on the page and then decided i needed to 80s it up with some doodling :)

ta-daa!!!

Day 247 was an ad inspired challenge...
here's the ad: (gorgeous!)

and here's my card! (i think this is my favorite card i've made all year!)

Day 246 was a sketch
and here's my card! (yum!)

Here's today's challenge

Day 248 - Imagine This: Feathers
(if Pam can bend the rules and use "feathery fibers" so can i!!! it's hard to tell but the word snow is glittery :)

Day 245 - It's a Matter of Inches
I love this one!!! (shocking i know...Becky loves papertrey ink and cosmo cricket *gasp* lol)
anyways, my little birdie is 1 inch with 1 corner rounded :)
Day 244 - You're So Transparent
ok, we were supposed to use 3 transparent items - i count my parentheses as 1 item :)

Day 241! (and 145, 146, &147!)

Hooray!!!
I finally managed to complete another challenge at 365 Cards!
Today's challenge was so much fun! it was to create a list on the card in place of a sentiment
My uncle's birthday is this Thursday and i needed to make a card for him...i definitely struggle with masculine cards, i can do silly ones (which works out perfectly for my dads and husband), but not so well for just regular guy cards...
I like this one though, you might have to click on the picture to actually read the list, i could NOT get a good picture of it (after 10 tries i gave up...)
Thanks for stopping by!

The inside has this nifty gift card holder :)
(i never know what to get him and you can't go wrong with a Barnes & Noble gift card, right?!)
Materials:
Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket & Close to my Heart
Stamps: Papertrey Ink & Close to my Heart
Buttons & Ribbon from stash
Pearls: Kaiser craft
Rub-ons: SEI

ok, so on to some older challenges i completed but forgot to post...

Day 145 was an ad inspired challenge...
Here's the ad:
and here's my card:

Day146 was to create a card using symmetry - only the sentiment didn't need to be symmetrical

Day 147's Challenge was to scraplift a card made by a member of the design team

Kristie made this awesome card (check out her original post here!)
and here's my card:

Tonight i'm getting ready for a craft fair i'm doing on Saturday, I SHOULD be making mass produce-able (is that word?) stuff and projects i can teach as classes

INSTEAD i spent a couple hours on this :)

Lemme know what you think!

i love mixing my stamp sets up lol

Day 149 & 199

Today's Challenge (#199) at 365 cards was to use a hexagon as the dominant shape on a card
(mine's not a perfect hexagon, i free-handed it and if i had tried any more to make the sides all even it would have been only about 1 inch big lol)

Aren't the penguins cute!!! This line from Art Impressions came out a few years ago when i worked at Stamp'N Memories and i had to have the whole line :) (it's ok though because i use them all the time...right?)

and yes, it is a shaker card :)

This was for challenge 149 - we had to use sponging on a card

Pretty!

New Trailer for New Moon :)

Attention Twilight fans, if you haven't seen it yet, there's a new trailer out for New Moon that's completely freakin' awesome :)

yes - i do still check stephenie meyer's website every day lol, i'm still waiting for her to announce that she's going to finish midnight sun :)

anyways, i have great new hope for the movie after this preview, after twilight i didn't really think they would do any kind of justice to the rest of the books, for instance i didn't think they could do Bella's pain right - the empty pages of the book were just perfect for what she was going through - but it's looking pretty good in the movie, and instead of hearing Edward's voice, Bella sees glimpses of him which i think will translate to the big screen better than a disembodied edward voice lol...

anyways check it out HERE :)

my craft room & Days 186, 194, 196, & 197 :)

So i said i was going to post this a week or two ago (my room hasn't really been clean since then! *hangs head in shame*)
This is my studio!!!! (and my husband's desk - all of the pretty things in the room and i end up staring at a poster of the joker when i sit at my desk...how unfair is that?!)

This is today's challenge at 365 Cards! - that's right it's super sketchy sunday!!!!
the sketch looked like a football to me, so that's what i made (i actually free handed a football lol, i'm so impressed with myself - drawing stick figures used to intimidate me :)

This one is for Day 196 - Just a Touch of color :)
um, it's pretty self explanatory (i finally got a chance to use my Hero Arts cupcake cling stamp!)

This one's for day 194 - be inspired by technology :)

This one is Day 186 - an ad inspired card

(i totally want those shoes!!!)

Thanks for stopping by! (sorry it was such a long post!)
